Student Webmail

Starting with the Spring 2013 semester, Southwest will provide Office 365 accounts instead of Live@edu accounts. Microsoft will still host our student email, but it will not be branded as Live@edu.

New Accounts

Follow the "Accessing New Office 365 Student Accounts" instructions below to access your student email if you are:

  • a brand new student at Southwest during the Spring 2013 semester
  • a returning student who was not enrolled in the Fall 2012 semester

Accessing New Office 365 Student Accounts:

  1. Go to https://outlook.com/live.smcc.edu.
  2. Enter your username. Your username is your Student ID number followed by the live.smcc.edu domain. For example, a student with 12345 for an ID number would use CLOAKING . Your username is also your Southwest email address.
  3. Enter your password. If you are not sure what your default password is, ask any SMCC instuctor and they can help you.

To access Skydrive, click the link below and log in:

https://skydrive.live.com

Existing Accounts

Students who were enrolled in the Fall 2012 semester were issued Live@edu accounts and must upgrade their Live@edu accounts to Office 365 accounts before accessing their email accounts. You only have to do this once.

To upgrade your account, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to https://eduupgrade.office365.com.
  2. Log in using your existing login information.
  3. Enter a new password to complete the upgrade.

Once you've upgraded your account, use the following link to access your email account:

https://outlook.com/live.smcc.edu

To access Skydrive, click the link below and use the same username and your previous password:

https://skydrive.live.com
